1968
The Company was founded in 1968, and at that time the first products were mainly submersible motors and spare parts for submersible pumps.
1974
In 1974 the real breakthrough began by introducing to the market the first line of submersible pumps made of Cast Iron and Submersible Motors with powers up to 100 hp and then continued in 1982 with the expansion of the range to 12" pumps with powers up to 300 hp.
1988
Thanks to the acquisition of important professionals such as qualified engineers and foreign marketing managers, VAMA's market and field of activity expanded in European countries , Middle East and then established its steady presence in 1988 also in Maghreb , North and Central Africa.
1994
In 1994, thanks to sensing the opportunity offered by new technologies, the Ownership decided to start the production of Stainless Steel Submersible Pumps starting a new design phase from 0 and in 1995 began the production of the first series of 4" & 6" Pumps immediately enjoying unexpected success.
2011
In 2011, VAM undergoes further development of its products also supported by the interest of its main customers by initiating a study of design and construction of complete Pumping Stations and Horizontal Mono and Multistage Pumps present today in its product catalog.

Spurred and encouraged by this unexpected success VAMA PUMPS develops a whole new series of Radial and Semi-Axial Pumps 8" , 10" & 12" with powers up to 250 Kw.
New product lines have also been developed such as Ram Antibody Assemblies , piping and Valves of various types, and SCADA management software for full automation of Pumping Stations.
